COCHIN
On arrival at Cochin, you are greeted and assisted at the Airport / Railway station by Athena travels representative and transferred to hotel. One of the finest natural harbours on the Arabian Sea coast, Cochin, has been a port of call for foreign traders from early times. Its cosmopolitan character is reflected in the buildings and structures representing different regions of the world. A city of peninsulas and islands, today it is Kerala’s commercial hub. Later proceed for sightseeing of Fort Cochin covering Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, and Dutch Palace & Chinese Fishing Net.

COCHIN – PERIYAR
Check out from the hotel / resort, after breakfast, and take a spectacular drive to Thekkady through the valley of the Cardamom Hills. Periyar (Thekkady) Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the well-maintained wildlife sanctuaries of South India and is spread out over an area of 777 sq Kms. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. Check in at hotel upon arrival. Proceed for sightseeing of Periyar. Enjoy the fragrant spice plantations on a spice plantation tour, where you can touch, smell and taste almost all the spices seen across the world. In these private spice plantations you will see how the spices actually grow in their plant form.

PERIYAR
After breakfast, (optional) go for a program which involves dawn to dusk trekking across some of the most luxuriant forest tracts of the Periyar wildlife sanctuary, and it takes one through interspersed evergreen and moist deciduous forests, providing incredible opportunities for close observation of birds, butterflies and wildlife. Later in the evening go for a boating at Periyar Lake where you get chance to watch wild animals in their natural habitat.

PERIYAR – ALLEPPEY
After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey. On arrival, embark on a Houseboat for an overnight cruise up to Kumarakom. Cruise through the palm fringed canals; watch the paddy fields, village folk; relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind & waves. This mysterious strip of emerald green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that appends to its charm. Cruise till 6 in the evening by then the houseboat halts in the lake for overnight stay.
